Ferry Pier is a hyperlocal site about the area with the same name in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong.
Ferry service by Hong Kong North West Express (HKNWE) to Macau (Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, also known as Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal) from Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal (148 Wu Chui Road) has been available since April 15, 2011. Evening sailings using TurboJET's vessels have been available since December 2011.
Thirty-five departures to Macau and thirty-five departures to Tuen Mun are currently scheduled. Daily departures to Macau occur at 7:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m, 3:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. and daily departures from Macau occur at 9:00 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 2:15 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 8:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased up to fifteen days in advance. Round-trip tickets can be purchased with a HKD 20 discount using the travel agency at Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal.
Daytime sailings take about an hour on Damen's Fast Ferry 3810 catamaran vessels, which the company received in 2010.^ Addition ‘night’ sailings utilize TurboJET's FlyingCat and TriCat vessels.^^
These sailings have made Tuen Mun Ferry Pier the third location in Hong Kong offering scheduled ferry services to Macau (joining Shun Tak Centre in Sheung Wan and China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui) and HKNWE the third available operator (joining TurboJET/First Ferry and Cotai Jet).
Due to time and transport cost savings as passengers no longer need to travel to Kowloon or Hong Kong Island, HKNWE's fares, which are lower than those of TurboJET in Sheung Wan, can be considered reasonable as the fares, hypothetically, can be more expensive than other operators while still offering value to passengers.
The address of Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal is 148 Wu Chui Road, Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong (香港, 新界, 屯門, 148 湖翠路). However, getting to the “Tuen Mun Ferry Pier” (屯門碼頭) area will place the Ferry Terminal within walking distance.
Public transportation in Hong Kong is simple and, generally, reliable. For directions, consider consulting the Transport Department's route planner (Hong Kong eTransport) for route, fare, and estimated travel time information. When searching, Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal should be used as the destination.
An adjacent ground transportation hub (see neighbourhood) provides a variety of choices for public transportation: taxis, light rail, buses, and minibuses. Visitors from Lantau Island may choose to utilize Fortune Ferry's ferry services to arrive at the Ferry Terminal.
Ferry service by Hong Kong North West Express to Macau (Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal) from Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal (148 Wu Chui Road) has launched in 2011.^ The company has received approval in principle and a ten year operation licence from the Macau authorities^^^, taken delivery of two Damen Fast Ferry 3810 vessels (Delta 1, Delta 2; marked HKNWS; each capable of carrying 300 passengers, but configured for 278)^^, and signed a new tenancy agreement with the Hong Kong Government that, unlike previous agreements, includes the expectation of having at least 14 weekly services begin by mid-April 2011.^^^
In December 2011, HKNWE added two evening departures to Macau and one evening departure to Tuen Mun, utilizing TurboJET's FlyingCat and TriCat vessels.^^ In March 2012, HKNWE revised evening departure times and eliminated one evening departure to Macau.
Hong Kong North West Express has, since 2003, been seeking to operate ferry services to Macau from the Tuen Mun Ferry Pier area, but has not previously received permission from the Macau authorities.^
